Express Employment Professionals was created in 1983 by founders Robert A. Funk, William H. Stoller and James Gray as the result of the dissolution of Acme Personnel. At the present time, the corporate office of the company is based in Oklahoma City. Today, Express operates nearly 600 franchises in the United States, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

Express Personnel Services companies include Express Employment Professionals and Express Professional Staffing. Through these entities, Express offers a full range of staffing services, including temporary placement, evaluation hire, flexible staffing and professional search.
